An Introduction to the Company
Studio Saddles is the retail face of Saddles International which began its journey in 1994. Leather is something that has always been a symbol and embodiment of luxury, comfort, style and protection. The Customisation Process
The process that Saddles follows to make every seat cover is nothing short of mesmerizing and super interesting. To give you a little insight, the process is as follows:
- Client’s order: During this initial step, the client is required to place their order with certain specifications. The client can either choose an existing pattern for the seat cover or customize one based on their needs. The client will also be given the various options of materials and they can choose the one that suits them best.
Saddles provide the following range of materials for you to choose the one that reflects your style the best:
- Art leather
- Genuine leather
- Nappa leather

As part of their customisation, Saddles provides the client the following designs to choose from:
- Perforation: Perforation refers to the design containing tiny holes that are made intentionally. These holes do not go all the way through the material. The fact that these holes are made in such a way that they serve both form and function is what sets this design apart from the rest. The entire purpose of the holes that are made at regular intervals is to increase the breathability of the seat covers and allow sir to flow through them. This ensures that even in the scorching sun, you seats are not heated.
- Quilting: This is the design that’s made to give you the royal feel. With its elegance and timeless nature, the quilted design is sure to meet all your expectations. An added advantage with quilted seats is that, because they are soft, they are more comfortable.

- Pattern Making: This step is awfully similar to the first step of baking. Just like you measure out your ingredients, Saddles measures every inch of your seats. They collect the dimensions and submit them to the next group of people that work specifically on the seat covers directly. During this step, the patterns, although customized by you, also require to be taken in the certain way that works out for the chosen material.
- Material/ Leather Cutting: During this step, the chosen material/ leather is cut into various pieces based on the dimensions provided. These pieces are cut in the exact shapes and sizes required to match the seats and other parts. At this point, the material/ leather is still in different pieces.
- Stitching: During this step, all the big, small, short, tall and differently shaped material/ leather pieces are stitches together. To ensure the stitches are nothing short of stunning, the required molds are used. This step converts all its and bits into a gorgeous masterpiece, ready to meet all your seating needs.
- Fitment: This is the final step in the process. During this crucial step, the staff members of Saddles carefully remove the existing seat covers from the car. Then, they cautiously fit the newly made custom seat covers into the car. The car’s interiors go through a thorough inspection by an expert. In the highly unlikely case of there being something wrong or any tiny issue with the seat covers, the concerned staff members are notified. Then, the issue is immediately rectified because whether the sun shines on us or not, Saddles would never let you go home with even the tiniest imperfection in your seat covers. Finally, the car with its brand new one of a kind interiors is handed back to the client.
Writing this made me want to convince my dad to change our seat covers to Saddles’ embroidered seat covers (embroidered with my name, of course!).
